The Myers Royal Limbertwig apple originated in the early 1800s on the Myers family property in the Cades Cove area of Tennessee, now part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Herbert Myers highly praised this apple, claiming it produced the finest cider he had ever tasted. The exact parentage of the variety remains unknown.
