Fruit medium size, round often with slight conic shape, very dark purplish red, almost black, with a distinctive bluish bloom, Complex Sweet and Slightly Tart flavor improving in storage, Crisp, Juicy, keeps very well up to 4 months. Originated in Oxford County, Maine,  discovered as a seedling by Nathaniel Haskell. Maine. Ripe October-November
