Fruit large to very large, roundish to slightly oblate, conical, and often oblique, covered in dark red with obscure dark stripes, numerous grayish lenticels. Tender, crisp, juicy, sweet. Good Keeper, Blooms April, Ripens September/October. Originated in the late 1800s in Lenoir, Caldwell County, North Carolina, from Limbertwig seeds Mr. J. A. Dula planted to grow rootstocks for grafting. Dula’s Beauty was recommended in 1908 by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture for growing in the Piedmont area.
