Fruit medium to large, roundish slightly oblong to conical covered with dark solid crimson small yellow to gray spots. Mildly Sweet, Moderately Juicy, Mildly subacid, great keeper flavor often improved in storage. Though there are questions concerning whether the Black Ben Davis is a mutation or seedling of the Ben Davis it is said to origniated in the 1880's as a chance seedling on the John Reagan farm and was initially called Reagan’s Red. Ripe Sept-October
